Hydrogenated MDI

H₁₂MDI · Cycloaliphatic diisocyanate · Polyurethane intermediate

EcoSafe: Not assessed. A light-stability claim is not a safety or environmental rating. Refer to the current regional SDS for the exact supplier product.

Core data coverage: 68.75%

11 of 16 defined fields are recorded with a source. This measures structured information currently on this site, not the completeness of every linked PDF. Missing fields remain in the denominator.

Coverage is separate from scientific accuracy, human verification and EcoSafe assessment. Molecular fields may not apply to a grade or family; they are not filled from another material to increase its score.

Role in coatings and elastomers

H₁₂MDI is a reactive building block for light-stable polyurethane systems. Evonik describes applications in elastomers, polyurethane dispersions and radiation-curable urethane acrylates, with coating and paint-protection-film uses.

Specific spray-polyurea recipes and optical performance claims have not been verified for this generic record. It is not a ready-to-use formulation or a drop-in substitute for another diisocyanate.
