OUR PURPOSE
Clarity begins
with better questions.
EcoSafe Materials is being developed to connect materials research, regulatory context, and practical education.
Hi, I’m Dave—the creator of EcoSafe Materials.
I work in the chemical and raw materials industry, helping introduce new, more sustainable materials to chemists, manufacturers and customers. Along the way, I kept coming back to a question: where can people find clear information about the chemicals in their products—and the options for changing them?
I created EcoSafe Materials to help answer that question. Its purpose is simple: educate, connect and inspire better choices.
For chemists and formulators, that means exploring materials that could help replace ingredients of concern, while understanding the performance requirements and trade-offs. For consumers, it means looking beyond confusing labels to understand what a product’s claims actually mean and what evidence supports them.
Better choices begin with better information. My vision is to build a place where industry knowledge becomes easier to access, questions lead to discovery, and more people can take part in building a safer, more sustainable world—one product at a time.
What we are building
We are building a transparency tool that helps people understand the materials in their products and make safer, more informed choices. By connecting clear information about ingredients, their potential impacts and available alternatives, EcoSafe Materials aims to empower chemists, manufacturers and consumers to create a safer, more sustainable world.
Our intended editorial approach
- Trace claims to sources. Link to original research or official regulatory documents.
- Show the context. Explain the application, conditions, and limits of a finding.
- Make uncertainty visible. Distinguish reviewed evidence from drafts and unanswered questions.
- Record reviews. Add review dates and corrections as the research workflow develops.
Where we are today
The library contains illustrative topics, the tracker contains example rows, and the guides are educational drafts. No claim of certification, material safety, or verified environmental performance is made.
