At a glance for your formula

Borregaard Exilva P-series products contain microfibrillated cellulose derived from Norway spruce. Supplier sources describe high low-shear viscosity, shear thinning and fast viscosity recovery for waterborne paints and coatings. The material can support suspension and sag control and may replace several formulation additives. The two-percent suspension and ten-percent paste need different dosing; changing from an already cellulose-derived thickener does not by itself demonstrate an environmental improvement.

Grade-specific screening values have not been recorded. Consult the selected supplier’s technical reference.

Grade scope & review questions

  • Supplier-reported information; awaiting human review. Application evidence is Exilva-family scope; select P01-L or P01-V and confirm exact-grade suitability.
  • Gap: Exact selected-grade SDS/TDS and microbial stability: not established.
  • Gap: Environmental comparison with starter HEC and dosage require trials.
  • No exact chemical identity/CAS supplied for this commercial grade or family; do not infer one from chemistry words or trade name.
  • Workbook deliberately groups related grades; preserve one candidate/family card and separate grade-specific claims.
  • Related supplier grades are grouped for navigation. Claims and application evidence retain the selected-grade scope stated in the summary; do not transfer them to every related grade.

Core data coverage: 12.5%

2 of 16 defined fields are recorded with a source. This measures structured information currently on this site, not the completeness of every linked PDF. Missing fields remain in the denominator.

Coverage is separate from scientific accuracy, human verification and EcoSafe assessment. Molecular fields may not apply to a grade or family; they are not filled from another material to increase its score.

Chemical identity & commercial names

Exact identity and mixture scope require the supplier record.

Trade names & supplier grades

Trade names identify supplier offerings. A shared chemical name does not establish interchangeable grades or specifications.

  • Exilva P01-L ↗ · Borregaard

Suspension grade; supplier-specific active content and application guidance required.

  • Exilva P01-V ↗ · Borregaard

Paste grade; not concentration-equivalent to P01-L.
